My Cooking Tools
This is just a list of the reliable kitchen tools I use, or a set of tools that any future kitchen I own should have at the bare minimum.
Flat Bottom Wok
The current flat-bottom wok I'm using is a magnetic steel honeycomb wok. Pretty sturdy and compatible with the induction cooktop below. It is recommended to constantly use it and develop the seasoning on it like one would on a cast iron skillet.
Broad Meat Cleaver
Although a lot of people would like to tell me otherwise, this is pretty much the only knife I need in the kitchen. With enough practice, this can be used to peel, slice and dice everything from vegetables to meat.
Induction Cooktop
Magnetic induction cooktops directly heat the cookware instead of the air around it without an open flame. Because there is no open flame and no fuels that need to be carefully contained, it is much more pleasant to cook, keeps the kitchen cooler and no inhalation of combustion byproducts occur that could have bad long-term effects on one's health.
French Press
Boil water and steep the coffee grinds in this container which has a simple strainer built into its lid/plunger. A lot simpler than a coffee maker and a lot more satisfying to operate.
