The Economy

Society is composed of individuals who have both similar and varied needs which need to be met in one way or another. The system by which these needs, derived from both the environment and interactions with other individuals, is called The Economy.

Individually, each person has a metabolism, which takes in its needs from the outside world into itself in order to sustain itself. In this light, an Economy is the metabolism of a society.

Individuals occupy different places in the economy, and more often than not, have differing and incompatible priorities from each other. The constant tension and occasional flare-ups coming from it restructures the economy into new forms that address the problems of the previous forms as well as bringing about new problems.
